Women have many different types of breasts and nipples.  Nipples can vary in colour, shape and size,  mostly determined by genetics.

The average size of a woman’s nipple is 3/8 of an inch or 10mm. The skin of a woman’s nipples are rich with nerve endings that are easily stimulated. When stimulated the nerves send a message to the muscle around the nipple and causes the muscle to become erect.

A few months back, one of our readers wanted to know how common anal sex was. Turns out 40% of men and 35% of women between the ages of 15 and 44 engage in heterosexual anal sex.   But to answer this week’s question, we will focus on the more risky aspects of engaging in anal sex.

What exactly are the complications associated with this sexual act?

It is easy to tear the tissue in the anal canal and rectum.  The lining of the anal canal is thin and has no natural lubrication.  Adding friction to the mix makes tearing possible. If there is enough force, the sphincter muscle can also tear. Go slowly and pay attention to how it feels. Stop when you feel it’s too uncomfortable.

 Spread of STIs and HIV.  Because the lining of the anus tears easily, it offers an easy path for bacteria and viruses to enter blood stream.  To avoid the spread of STIs and HIV, always use a condom.

The deeper you go, the more likely the tear.  The inner third of the rectum is less sensitive, meaning you could tear tissue and not even know it right away.  If you have prolonged pain after having anal sex, definitely go see your doctor.

Sex toys can be hard to retrieve.  Certain toys can be hard to reach after anal sex, and in some instances, need to be surgically removed. “Sorry, I can’t come into work today because I have to get a sex toy removed,” is NOT something you ever want to utter to your boss.  Make sure you’re using equipment specifically designed for anal sex.  You’ll want toys with flared ends which will prevent the toy from moving up into the rectum.

Beware of bacteria.  Bacteria from your anus can often negatively affect the healthy environment of your vagina.   If you choose to have both vaginal and anal sex, use a new condom when moving from one locale to the other.

The Bottom Line.  Anal sex always involves fecal matter, no matter what you do to prevent it.  Always wash well before and after anal sex .  Use a condom, use gloves.  Don’t let a little fecal matter affect your health.

The simple answer to this question is there is no one sexual position guaranteed to make a woman climax (wouldn’t it be great if there was!).  Everyone’s body is different. A position that rocks one woman’s world, may leave another woman feeling completely unfulfilled.

Here are some positions to consider:

Woman on Top- This position is prime for clitoral stimulation and g-spot stimulation.  Try leaning your torso forward, arching your back and keeping your clitoris near the base of your partner’s penis.  Being on top can also assist in g-spot orgasm.  Try leaning back on your hands or sitting for this type of stimulation.

Woman Sitting – This position allows for more g-spot stimulation

Missionary Position – Sure, this is a more conventional position, but it allows for physical closeness. Also, mixing things up a bit can be very rewarding.   Try changing the movement of your or your partners’ hips for deeper penetration, the height of your hips for angles that can lead to new sensations.  Your man can also close his legs once inside of you to increase clitoral stimulation.

Doggy Style – This position is great for g-spot orgasm.  Try lowering your shoulders and arching your back to alter the angle of penetration and ultimately stimulate the g-spot.

Side-by-Side – If long sessions really help you to orgasm, then this is the position for you.  Side-by-side limits motion and can make sex last longer.   You can face each other or spoon. Adjusting your body can create many different angles to stimulate the clitoris or g-spot.

Other tips:

As we said last week … the “G” spot is the close friend of female ejaculation.

There is a lot of debate about the “G” spot. Does it even exist? If it does, why can’t many women find it? Others claim it’s just a fake. It is believed the “G” spot is a spongy pad that surrounds the urethra. You can access the “G” spot through the vaginal canal.  It can be found by exploring the wall of your vagina – the wall closest to your stomach. It is about 1 – 2 inches up in your vagina.

Putting pressure around the vaginal opening can stimulate the “G” spot, or it can be stimulated by putting pressure on the mons. Some women can best stimulate their “G” spot by using a vibrator or a dildo. There are a variety of shapes, some are specifically effective in stimulating the area.

Female ejaculation, casually known as “squirting”, is a natural and normal function of the female body. Although many women do not experience ejaculation, most women have the capability to ejaculate.

There is a difference between female and male ejaculation. Male ejaculation is about reproduction – the delivery of sperm from a man’s testes for the purpose of reproducing. Women ejaculate for the sole purpose of pleasure.

Female ejaculation is a function of a woman’s Para urethral glands, also known as “the female prostate. The fluid – or ejaculate – comes through a woman’s urethra and is sometimes mistaken for urine. It is not urine, although occasionally there can be a little urine in the ejaculate. Women who do ejaculate don’t do so every time they have sex or have an orgasm.

There’s lots of debate about female ejaculation – some doctors say it’s physiologically impossible for women to ejaculate. On the other hand, many women, health practitioners, doctors, and sex activists dispute this.

One of the best ways for a woman to ejaculate is to stimulate both the clitoris and G-spot when highly aroused. If comfortable with ejaculation, and at that highly aroused moment bearing down as one does when urinating – ejaculation can happen!
